Proverbial Proverbs 1:4
15 05 2008Proverbs 1:4 - To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
The use of the simple and the young can have a similitude. The idea is to give you the understanding that this pertains to a person that normally doesn’t have a lot of wisdom. The simple refers to one who is foolish or doesn’t act in a wise manner. The young is referring to one who lacks wisdom based on the lack of seasons in his or her life to gain such wisdom. The point being made is that the wisdom of these Proverbs are for the gain and benefit of such persons and for the wise to remain among the wise. Keep in mind that this also applies to the spiritual life of a person, whether it be simple or young.
