One neat feature of the iPod Touch is the ability to take your photos with you and show them off to friends. In addition to just showing your pictures, you can make a slideshow with transition effects. Best part of all, it is easy to do.
The first thing you need to do is to sync some photos on to your iPod Touch, if you haven’t already.
Next, you will need to adjust the slideshow properties. To adjust these properties:
- From the Home screen, tap the Settings application
- From the menu, tap the Photos option
This menu is fairly simple with only four options to choose from. The first option adjusts the amount of time each picture will appear before the slideshow transitions to the next picture. Your options are for 2, 3 (default), 5, 10, and 20 seconds. The next option is the transition effect. This is the period of time between pictures in which a fancy effect takes place when moving from one picture to the next. There are five different transitions: Cube, Dissolve (default), Ripple, Wipe Across, and Wipe Down. The next two options are on/off switches for playback settings. The first either enables or disables repeating the slideshow when it reaches the end. The other option enables or disables shuffling your pictures so that they display in a random order.
Now that all of your settings are set, you are ready to start your picture slideshow.
- Go back to the Home screen and tap the Photos application
- In the list, tap the photo album you wish to use for the slideshow
- Tap the play button in the bottom-center of the screen
- Enjoy your slideshow
Want to add a further personal touch? Why not play some music along with your slideshow? Before you start your slideshow, begin playing some music. Then, go to the Photos application and start your slideshow.
